Equipment
Here I have an up to date description of the important equipment I have in my inventory. I am always working toward getting new items to add, all in the goal of improving the technical side of my filmmaking.
Camera
My most favorite and main tool in my collection is my Canon R6. I bought this as I started to get more serious about wedding video production and have absolutely fallen in love with the way this thing shoots. I currently can only afford the EF to RF mount as it pertains to glass. In the future I am hoping to add a fixed f/2.8 24-70mm RF Lens to really step up my capture capabilities.
My back up camera, and secondary camera on days like a wedding, is currently my first DSLR camera that I got as a Christmas gift many years ago now. The Canon Rebel SL2 is by no means the best camera on the market, but it holds a special place in both my heart and my inventory.
My absolute favorite piece of equipment that isn’t a camera in my collection has to be my DJI RS 2 Gimbal. This thing makes motion easy. I love running it on wedding days, tracking/chase/steady-cam moments on narrative pieces, and it allows for buttery smooth movement with slow motion in post. All of this at the added benefit of being a light weight rig.
